Basic Needs

The JCADV will provide referral to programs in your area that may assist with basic needs through food banks, meal sites, clothing, furniture, rent and mortgage assistance, and emergency shelter.

Crime Victim Compensation

The JCADV provides referral to programs that assist crime victims with compensation. To learn more about who qualify for the program and to access an application call the Helpline at 1-800-598-7607.

Emergency Loans

The JCADV will provide referral to programs in the community that offers emergency loan to victims of domestic violence. For more information call the Helpline at 1-800-598-7607.

The JCADV will provide referrals to programs that offers financial literacy training for survivors of domestic violence. Some topics that are discussed are:

  • Financial and safety challenges of ending a relationship with an abusive partner.

  • Information on how to protect personal and financial records in an abusive relationship and after ending an abusive relationship.

  • How to prevent or handle misuse of financial records.

  • Tools to help people of all incomes and earning power work toward long-term economic empowerment, including budgeting tools, step-by-step planners, and more.
