 TRAINING

The JCADV offers training on a wide variety of topics related to Domestic Violence awareness and prevention. Training sessions are geared towards people who are advocates, service providers, law enforcement, social workers, healthcare professionals, educators, youth leaders, and community members. The JCADV training sessions provide information, strengthen skills, and share best evidenced-based practice on issues to effectively address and prevent Domestic Abuse and Violence.

 

Topics include:

  • Basic knowledge advocates should know about as they start working with survivors of Domestic Violence

  • Advanced training on best practices and policies that shape a culture of intolerance and to stomp out Domestic Violence.

  • Professional development training that involves skill-building to improve competency and effectiveness.

 

Training Request

Aside from scheduled training, the JCADV will provide training by request to schools, workplaces, health care settings, and any group or organization interested in learning more about domestic violence, dating violence, and related issues.

Training Calendar Information

Due to the high cost of printing materials, There is a fee associated with some training sessions. Fees must be paid before the training session begins. Staff members and volunteers working with the JCADV and students under 18 years old do not pay for attendance. Submit payment online on our secure website prior to attendance and provide proof of payment.

Cancellation

The JCADV has a no refund policy on cancellations.
